IR Pachai Arisi
puzhungal arisi comes out of paddy which has been boiled / steamed to facilitate removal of husk. If this rice is not polished, it stays brown. If polished, the rice is white.
Eaten in moderation as a part of a balanced diet, any rice is healthy.
The boiled rice is very healthy as it retains the nutrients . In South India this rice is prefered as it healthier than white rice.
